More San Jorge Beach Pics and Rivas Town Square Pics

I am absolutely loving this beach outfit I wore when I went with my friend, Joselyn.

Check out my awesome beach outfit 🙂

After we went to the beach we went to Restaurante Vila’s to get a pizza. I got a Hawaiian pizza and I think she got a pepperoni pizza. I don’t remember.

Here are some pics taken at Restaurante Vila.

I had never really worn a bandana. I just started wearing a bandana in Rivas. I still wear bandanas to this day. They make the best headband.
I absolutely love their pizza.
Here is their menu.
Here is the view from the pizza place. Rivas is absolutely beautiful. Love the sunsets.

Here’s a pic of the restaurant.

About Rivas

I arrived in Rivas, Nicaragua on November 15th. It is currently December 10th and I will have almost been here for a whole month. I have to say it is an absolutely amazing place with awesome people. I felt right at home when I arrived here and I had lots of fun.

My favorite things to do here are go to the Rivas Gigantes baseball game, visit the Rivas History and Anthropology Museum in the main part of town, visit my favorite soda place that I eat at near the rotunda, visit Maxi Pali, visit La Colonia, and go to the beach. I have only been to the beach twice, but I got to see how absolutely stunning the view is of the Conception Volcano from the beach.

Gigantes is the name of the Rivas baseball team and they are awesome. They are doing really well and win most of their games. I love going there and chilling with the baseball crowd. I usually go by myself, but at the very front row in the lateral section are fun little kids I have been cheering with. The kids get so excited and so into the game that they make watching the game more fun.

During my first Monday here in Rivas, I went to a soda. A soda is a place you get food from for very cheap. They were serving a beef soup that reminded me of bulalo and ever since then I go there for most of my meals. I made friends with one of the cooks there, Joselin and she took me to the beach with her family two weekends ago. It was loads of fun and I got to take awesome pictures for my Instagram.

Rivas is a pretty small town and they have two main grocery stores. One is called Maxi Pali, which I learned about before I got here and the other one is called Colonia. Colonia is a newer grocery store and I just learned about it last week. Both grocery stores have everything you need. The only thing I could not find at Maxi Pali was Downy for my clothes, but I finally found Downy in Colonia. I got to do all of my laundry with Downy this past weekend and I was very excited. There is also a smaller grocery store owned by Maxi Pali and it is just called Pali. I sometimes go there to get drinks, but not too much stuff.

The History and Anthropology Museum of Rivas has been loads of fun to visit because they have beautiful ceramics on display. I have seen so many cool ceramics and preserved animals on display. I love going there to read the wall and translate the wall signs and post about it on my blog.

Rivas has been such an awesome place for me that it is hard to go home. I might have to go home to take care of selling my car, but afterward, I would like to come right back to Rivas.
